Designed by Canadian artist Silvia Pecota, your coin features full colour over an engraved outdoor scene. In a rural community outside of Calgary, three youths are immersed in their game of road hockey. The passion these young players have for the game is evident by their body language, as each leans into the play. To the right, a player has possession of the puck and tries to line up a shot, while another reaches across to steal the puck away. The third playercrouches slightly in front of the net, trying to anticipate the shot so that he might prevent it from entering the net. All three are proudly wearing thecolours of their favourite team, which stand out against the white of the snow- and ice-covered landscape. Above the scene is the Calgary Flames ¨ logo, with its flaming red "C" outlined in black and yellow.
