2014 Coin and Stamp set featuring the Winnipeg Jets.

This painted cupronickel coin has a diameter of 35 millimetres. The reverse design features a coloured team logo in colour captured within the NHL shield on a frosted background. The reverse features the word "CANADA," the date "2014," and the face value of "25 CENTS." The obverse features the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II by Susanna Blunt.

The Winnipeg Jets played their first NHL season in Winnipeg in 2011. Formerly the Atlanta Thrashers, the team relocated to Winnipeg to the joy of hockey fans in that city and across Canada and took the name of Winnipeg's former NHL team. The Winnipeg Jets' notable "aviator blue" uniform design and team logo honour the Royal Canadian Air Force, which has borne these colours on its own military uniforms and aircraft, and recall the city's robust hockey history.
