This 2013 pure gold proof finish coin weighs just over one quarter ounce and features a Pronghorn Antelope, the only member of the antelope family native to North America. The mintage of this $25 face value coin is limited to just 1500 pieces, adding collector scarcity to its artistic and intrinsic gold value. As a pure gold coin struck by the Royal Canadian Mint, this item is HST/GST exempt.

_The Design:

The beautiful image of the Pronghorn is set against symbolic elements of its Canadian Habitat. Viewed in three-quarter profile, the majestically looking animal is presented in the foreground. In the background, the image of a circular sunburst replete with rays recalls the vast open skies of its preferred habitat, and also shows wheat motifs and rays of light; all elements which echo the circular field of the coin and hints at the cyclical nature of the Pronghorn's lifecycle.
