Designed by Canadian artist Emily S. Damstra, your coin features a powerful peregrine falcon (Falco peregrinus) in flight on outstretched wings. Expert engraving recreates its striking appearance, its dark head standing in contrast to the striking barred plumage that is characteristic of this bird species. There is little doubt ofthe falcon's agility and formidable hunting abilities as it swiftly swoops down and assumes a mid-air attack position, its sharp talons spread out and ready to seize its prey.
