The pysanka design by Canadian artist Natalie Kitfeatures a Ukrainian tree-of-life motif that symbolizes life and growth. An eight-pointed star tops thefloral tree of life and represents the sun, while the basket base symbolizes the knowledge that promotes growth. Circular shapes form an infinity line and frame the tree of life. Below, the ribbon-like bandsrepresent the unbroken thread of life and contain partial cross motifs.
