About the Design:
Canadian artist John Mantha has created a dynamic design of three palaeontologists excavating a fossilized Gorgosaurus libratus skull. Gorgosaurus is a member of the tyrannosaurid family that reigns supreme as the quintessential dinosaur for its massive size and the sheer meat-tearingpower of its large, curved teeth-featuresthat are clearly conveyed by the detail and scale of this coin's design.
