Only one obverse was used for the entire period. The first reverse was an almost unaltered wreath from the Victorian reverse and coupled with the Imperial State crown and a new legend with "CANADA". The second reverse appeared in 1906 with a larger crown and many of the leaves on the wreath re-engraved.
